Vintage Farm Organization Labor Union Supporting Farmers Fair Farm Price Pinback.
Item is a small, 5/8” black & gold celluloid pinback from the American Society of Equity which was a farm support organization established in 1902.
Item is most likely circa 1912-1920. Has the logo of the Society (stylized ASFE) centered with PROFITABLE PRICES FOR FARM PRODUCTS in tiny gold block letters around the perimeter.
Reverse has original backpaper from Whitehead & Hoag.
Pinback itself is Very Good Plus to Excellent with strong color and no celluloid cracks or breaks.
Reverse backpaper is Very Good with some soiling.
Reverse collet does have rust as shown in the jpegs. The condition of the collet does not impact the rim curl or the celluloid and does not detract from the front side appearance of the item. Item is being offered as shown in the jpeg with the condition of the collet noted.
