This auction is for an Original Vintage UAW Union A.I.L. Div Eaton Corp Hdqts Wood Sign NY Grumman USAF Huge 5'X3'. This wood sign measures approximately 5 feet wide x 3 feet high, and is hand painted, reading " UAW A.I.L. DIVISION EATON CORP. ORGANIZING HDQTS. ". A quick internet search revels that the A.I.L. is the, Airborne Instruments Laboratory, which had a military electronics plant located in the Eaton Corporation Facility in Deer Park, Long Island, New York. It appears that A.I.L. had contracts with the USAF/Grumman to create the elctronic warfare system for the B-1 Bomber, and the electronic jamming device for the F-111 Fighter Bomber. This sign was an estate sale find at the home of a former Union leader, and is being sold as is pictured/as found.
