1932 Union Wars New York City Bottle Opener RARE! Theatre Boycott Local #306

Offering this very unusual bottle cap opener and milk cap lifter. This opener advertises Motion Picture Operators Union Local #306 on one side and states that the U.S. THEATRE IS NON-UNION with the address of WEBSTER AVENUE &195th ST. on the other. I have seen a few similarly styled openers that were probably issued during the union wars between NY based Moving Pictures Operators union local 306 and the Empire State Motion Picture Union in 1932. Unlike the other Local #306 openers, this opener targets a specific theater. The opener measures a little over 8.25" long and has a pointed pick or milk bottle cap lifter in the other end. It's in excellent condition. the
